1. Manuel Antonio
Manuel Antonio is located in the Central Pacific region of Costa Rica. This beach has so many activities and adventures to offer. You can swim in the crystal blue water, hike the Manuel National Park, surf, or just lay back and relax. An awesome advantage to this beach is that is is one of the only two beaches that carries all four types of monkey- spider, howler, white faced, and the squirrel monkey! 2. Jaco
Jaco is in the central pacific region of Costa Rica. If you are looking for a beach full of tourist attractions and lots of services, then Jaco is the beach for you. Not only does this beach offer 2.5 miles of awesome waves, and adventures for everyone, its the most developed beach town in Costa Rica. Jaco provides a great authentic vibe for lots of travelers. Jaco's beach offers warm water, consistent surf, and an awesome cinnamon colored sand. If your looking for a place with great tourist attractions and beautiful waves, then Jaco is the place for you!
3. Uvita
Uvita is located in the South Pacific Region of Costa Rica. If your looking for a less crowded feel, then Uvita is your place to go. This untouched beached is enchanting to many of its visitors. Long walks on the beach are a must if your visiting this area. The water is also excellent for swimming and snorkeling. During the months of May to October, it is possible to watch olive Ridley and Hawksbill sea turtles come ashore to nest. Playa Utiva is a beautiful white sand beach that is incredible for surfing, scuba diving, horse back riding, and kayaking if your more adventurous. Utiva is also packed with breathtaking waterfalls. This "off the beaten path" beach will sure to exceed your expectations.
4. Playa Hermosa Guanacaste
Playa Hermosa is located in the Guanacaste region of Costa Rica. This beautiful grey san beach is located between two mountains. This beach has a welcoming laid back atmosphere that makes people want to relax and enjoy the bright sun. This beach doesn't have much surf, so this beach is ideal for swimmers. Visitors enjoy the ocean by snorkeling, sport fishing, and scuba diving in the beautiful clear ocean. There are a lot of National Parks close by to this excellent beach. Come here to soak up some sun rays and relax by the soothing sea.
5. Matapalo
Matapalo beach is located in the central pacific area of Costa Rica. This beautiful beach is the perfect escape from all of the tourist destinations with its laid-back vibes. This brown sand beach is great for relaxing, swimming, or watching breathtaking sunsets. This beach has embraced its natural habitats awarding it the Blue Ecological Flag (Bandera Azul Ecológica) for its dedicated effort in the commitment to preserving the quality of environment. This is the perfect place to read your favorite book on the beach and relax in its beautiful environment.
